Let’s be honest. Regardless of who you are, your mother or a mother figure will always have a special place in your heart. Luxury Silk Loungewear
Life as a mom is tough and mothers are not given enough credit for going through their fair share of sleepless nights. Sometimes, it just feels like you never get enough sleep. This can make you feel exhausted the next day and cranky with your kids. That’s why we recommend wearing luxury silk pajamas when you go to bed at night as one of our top self-care products.
Slipping into a pair of silk pajamas can make you feel like you are walking on a cloud. Plus, they improve the overall quality of your sleep and make it easier to fall asleep and get quality sleep (even if it is for a short period). Silk is extremely soft and comfortable, which makes it very relaxing to wear. It’s very light in weight which adds to the comfort level of silk pajamas. And most importantly, it regulates your body temperature so you can get better sleep!
We recommend Olivia von Halle because it is truly a unique kind of luxury loungewear providing you a chic look and truly comforting luxurious feel against your skin.

A Daily Sunscreen
Every day, you must apply sunscreen. Sunscreens come in various forms, but the most effective sunscreen comes from a broad-spectrum SPF of 30 or greater. In addition, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are chemicals that help provide a smooth, even look and are less prone to clogging pores in their twenties.
Reapply sunscreen daily, every two hours if you’re going to be out and at least once a day -if you aren’t spending much time outside, a single application should be plenty. But we can already hear you saying- Where is the time?
Don’t worry.
Our recommendation is that you do the very best that you can do. We believe in small manageable steps that at least offers some protection so rather than remembering to add sunscreen every two hours with your child pulling for your attention, how about simply wearing sunscreen right after your bath time and remembering to use it each time you go out the restroom and after washing your hands? This way, good habits can be formed naturally and our brains remember to still care for ourselves while giving so much of ourselves to others.
Ember Smart Mug
Invest in an Ember Smart Mug if you regularly are sipping cold calming tea. The Ember Smart Mugs are great for keeping drinks warmer for longer periods, giving you one less thing to rush through. So whether you are cuddling your little one or directing your younglings while trying to practice stillness, you can be rest assured that you are being warmed up inside out.
I absolutely love these mugs. This was given to me as a gift by a mentor and I have used it repeatedly when I know I really need to stay focussed on working on a task for a long time.
Ember Mugs design are truly innovative.
And if you are black coffee drinker, we certainly recommend getting the jet-black mug to reduce coffee stains from overuse (which you’d definitely be doing)!
Listen to Podcasts
Anyone who thought, “I’d love to perform more self-care, but there are five loads of laundry needing to be done right now,” is the target audience for this portion of our article. Trust me, podcasts could be really great self-care products.
Podcasts have been a fantastic way to educate me as I work, do errands and mundane tasks that require little “brain energy”. I listen to itunes and podcasts while I drive, do errands, tuck laundry, and it could be wonderful as you play with your little ones too.
Albert Einstein once commented, “When you cease to learn, you cease to grow”. I make a step to expand my mastery and skill set constantly. For me, podcasts are like a doorway to knowledge when I am too busy to pick up a book.
No matter what you’re interested in learning about, there’s bound to be a podcast. So rather than feel guilty for having no time, jump on discovering podcasts. We created a self-care morning playlist to start your day and you may want to follow us because we intend to expand our spotify playlists to include informationals materials on self-care. Here’s the link to follow our playlists on Spotify!

Massages
Did You know that giving a group of ladies over 70 a hand massage and bath before bedtime has improved sleep quality and relaxation?
Mothers often find it rewarding when their children take the time to massage them. Even if you can’t be there to massage her yourself, you can still offer her the gift of a spa visit or an at home massage kit to help her unwind at home. Alternatively, a simple gesture like a hot water bottle can also help to show that you care. If you’re worried about convincing Mom to leave the house and go to the spa, consider giving her some luxurious body oils to use for her self-massage at home or running a nice bath for her with aromatic bath salts.
We love the Rose of Damascus Uplighting Bath Salts by Senteurs d’ Orient because it is one of the great self-care products that help release tension and provide true relaxation to the nerves helping your mother spa-at-home after a long day running around.
Eye Masks
Under eye Masks are great because you can remain busy while caring for yourself. They contain collagen and other ingredients which help you from having puffy eyes, dark circles from the late nighters.
So slap on these self-care products as you do the minor tasks around your home to continue to remain connected to your own care as you care for your little one(s) and others. They take 10 minutes but could leave your eyes feeling soft and hydrated. You know you deserve this too!
Final Thoughts
Being a mother is not easy. You handle the corporate world as well as the household. Soon, you may begin to prioritize everyone else over you forgetting that you are the most important person making all the engine of family work. Little to no support from your kids or family can make things very difficult. And forget that we are meant to be supermoms (whatever that means). It’s BS! You deserve a break from it all and you are important and valuable too so take 1 hour every day to yourself. Heck, half-an-hour to yourself and remain unapologetic for it.
